Do you want to participate in a training that aims to enhance your critical thinking skills needed to judge the reliability and credibility of information that comes via print, television and/or the Internet?
If you answered YES to the above questions, then we encourage you to apply for “Training on News Literacy for Journalism Students”.
By participating in this training you will:
• learn for and analyze the power of text, video and image through activities;
• write articles and analyze each other’s articles by using the techniques and tips that they will be introduced to in the sessions of this training;
• get more information on news, international and national online newspapers, international and national fake news and the outcome they have had;
• learn how to tackle a constant stream of fake news, propaganda, hoaxes, rumors, satire, and advertising that often pretend to be as credible journalism;
• get introduced to tips that will help them evaluate and judge news, learn what is and what is not journalism, deconstruct news articles and many more.
The target audience will consist of journalism students and it will be an in-depth journalism training. Furthermore, at the end of the sessions, we will have participants be part of two short videos where will be tips and information based on the theme of the training. This training will be comprised of eight sessions. Each session lasts one hour and a half.
