Description: American Corner Pristina has been hosting a Writing Club facilitated by Fulbright ETA Isabel. The Club meets regularly for participants to practice and develop their English writing skills in a fun, collaborative, and casual environment. The Club covers writing skills such as grammar, vocabulary, rhetoric, etc. as well as different kinds of writing such as academic writing, creative writing, professional writing, speech writing, etc.

 

Audience: High school and university students as well as general public with beginner to advanced English language skills.

Goal(s): To help participants develop and improve their written English language skills and learn how to write in a variety of different styles that will help them also improve their ability to synthesize ideas, analyze materials, and think critically.

This club supports American Corner Pristina’s English Language Learning program as participants are being able to practice various skills and styles of English writing as well as get direct feedback from their peers and Isabel. This Club supports the U.S. Embassy’s goal of Economic Development because participants are also developing skills important for the 21st century job market such as critical thinking, creativity, and communication.
