American Corner Pristina will mark LGBT Pride Month with a discussion on this year’s theme of LGBT History Month “The Arc is long”. The panel will consist of representatives from the NGO “Cel Kosovo”, whose work is focused against the discrimination of LGBTI+ persons in Kosovo and promoting LGBTI+ rights as fundamental human rights, guest speaker from the U.S. Embassy Pristina, a potential guest speaker from the government, and a local activist.

Goal(s): The aim of this activity is the promotion of the self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people as a social group. By aiming to encourage a safe space for LGBT community, this activity supports the U.S. goal of Rule of Law for Kosovo.
