Fulbright Program ETA Isabel has been organizing the Book Club meetings that take place once a month to discuss a book written by American authors. In these meetings, participants learn about American literature, discuss relevant topics and issues explored by American authors, practice their English language skills, and share their passion for reading with like-minded peers. Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987. To celebrate female authors, we invite you to join us in a specially themed book club. During the February book club meeting, participants and the facilitator will pick books to celebrate women authors. Participants will choose one of the books below to be discussed in this meeting:

  • The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
  • Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurtson
  • Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
  • Sula by Toni Morrison
