we were part of #WorldBookDay/Dita Botërore e Librit 2016, organized by our friends from Artpolis Center here in Prishtina.
Among other things, we handed out free journals about different fields of life in America, produced by the Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) of the U.S. Department of State. We also gave out information about various services that we offer, including access toeLibraryUSA.
A special feature was also the promotion of Kindles, electronic reading devices that are available for public use here at our Corner.

#WorldBookDay (also known as World Book and Copyright Day) is an annual event held under the auspices of UNESCO. Beginning on 1995, the date April 23 was chosen as it was on this day in 1616 that Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. The day is intended to promote reading, publishing and copyright.
