The United States of America has the largest international student population in the world. Studying in the USA is a dream for every Kosovan student, but often they feel overwhelmed and do not know where to start. Therefore, to support students who plan to pursue their studies in the U.S., the three American Corners in Kosovo: American Corner Pristina, American Corner Mitrovica, and American Corner Prizren, will host three informational sessions to be implemented in cooperation with the American Advising Center-EducationUSA. These sessions aim to give high schoolers general information about studying in the USA, which will be followed by two sessions where they will be taught how to create an account on Common Application, TOEFLiBT, and SAT, as well as how to navigate the application. Finally, they will do a TOEFLiBT test stimulation.

Strategic connection (connect with AC strategy, Embassy goals):

This program falls under the theme Employment-Oriented Education and Skills Building of the PD Strategy for American Corners for 2022. Additionally, these sessions support the Economic Development of Kosovo, which is one of the U.S. Embassy Pristina goals for Kosovo, as it encourages studying in the U.S. and the professional advancement that comes with it, thus directly boosting their job opportunities. It also supports EducationUSA, which is one of the five core programs of American Corners.
