American Corner Pristina and American Corner Prizren will engage Kosovo United States (KUSA) Alumni in Industry 4.0 programming. Academics and industry are involved in different aspects of research, implementation, and business with Industry 4.0 or Internet of Things (IoT). IoT cuts across different application domain verticals ranging from civilian to defense sectors. As the young generation of Kosovo is innovative and ready to join the job market, it will be useful for university students and young professionals to learn about Industry 4.0 through sessions held with KUSA Alumni. These info sessions will raise awareness of the potential impact of Industry 4.0 and provide a basic understanding of the core element and technologies linked to Industry 4.0.
Industry 4.0 is still a new concept in Kosovo, so creating awareness should be the first step and thinking strategically will be the second. Until now, the internet has generally been understood as a network which manages information created and processed by people. But the Internet of Things now also allows objects to communicate with each other, make decisions, and take actions without any human intervention. Industry 4.0 Program will include four info sessions focused on Internet of Things (IoT) and Cybersecurity Technology, which are to be implemented by American Corner Pristina and American Corner Prizren.

Strategic connection (connect with AC strategy, Embassy goals): These info sessions fall under the following two themes of the PD Strategy for American Corners for 2022: Increase Alumni Engagement and Educational Advising and Employment-Oriented Education and Skills Building. Additionally, these sessions support Economic Development of Kosovo, which is one of
the U.S. Embassy Pristina goals for Kosovo. These sessions will focus on how Industry 4.0 is influencing the digital economy, economic development, labor market changes, and education. This program will be a great opportunity for senior students to stay up to date with technological changes and ensure that they are not left behind by Industry 4.0 by learning and developing the new required skills.
