To mark November as Global Entrepreneurship Month, American Corner Pristina will implement the program DreamBuilder: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs. This program will take young women through the steps needed to start their own businesses, including writing a business plan. This is a ready-made program for American Spaces, which is created by the Smithsonian Institute and its aim is to support and empower aspiring women entrepreneurs by equipping them with the skills necessary to commence their businesses, and give them the opportunity to be participants in the economic development of our country. The target audience of this project will be women aged 18-35 years old, though if applicants older than 35 have a business idea and want to participate, they will not be excluded. Priority will be given to women who either have a business idea and plan to open their business or have just started their businesses. The training will be concluded with a networking event with already established women entrepreneurs so participants of the program can have the chance to discuss their business plans and get inspired by those with already established businesses. Twelve participants will be selected through an open call to be posted on American Corner Pristina’s social network.

This program supports the theme of Employment-Oriented Education and Skills Building to support university students, youth transition into the job market and young-career professional women get the skills necessary to commence with their businesses.
