This year, American Corner Pristina and Gulf Coast Diplomacy will organize “Camp Global 2023: Building a Global Network of Future Leaders” with two components: online and in person. The focus of the program will be on leadership, developing soft skills, and connecting teens from various countries through sharing cultures. Additionally, the virtual component of the program aims to bring teens from the American Corners in Kosovo and the US for this joint program.

In June 2023, 30 high school students from the United States, and Kosovo will be selected through the American Corners network to be part of a four-day virtual exchange program to be held via Zoom. At this camp, teens will explore leadership and soft skills together under the theme of “Generating Change.” Generating Change highlights the importance of building a global network for future leaders to solve problems shared across their communities. Young leaders will develop intercultural communication and collaboration skills through interactive sessions, workshops, and dialogues. The sessions will be on cultural sharing activities, emotional intellect, interview tips for success, and negotiations.

This program will equip participants with the skills necessary to grow as leaders in their local communities, including in their schools, organizations, and towns, while building friendships worldwide. Participants will also be able to earn a digital credential with the Open Badges Standard for global collaboration, which is great for student resumes, and certificates from Gulf Coast Diplomacy and American Corners in Kosovo.
