Kristina Madarang Stahl is a bear biologist, grant writer, and editor at Bear Sanctuary Prishtina. She is also the communications and philanthropy officer and a member of the Board of Directors for The Bear Care Group. A certified wildlife rehabilitator, Kristina received her master's degree in environmental science and policy with a specialization in wildlife management and conservation biology from Johns Hopkins University. She is dedicated to finding solutions to human-wildlife conflict at the urban-suburban interface.

On August 4th, we will host a Facebook Live with US Embassy speaker Kristina Madarang Stahl. The discussion will be on the status of the Sharr Mountain population of Eurasian brown bears, the bears of Bear Sanctuary Prishtina, proven methods for preventing human-wildlife conflict and livestock predation, and the economic and ecological value of preserving brown bears.
